Alfredo Garcia, 36, of Bolingbrook, was found guilty on one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to a statement from DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin released Friday.
A month-long investigation led by the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group (DuMeg) with the assistance of the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office culminated with a raid about 9:30 a.m. July 28 of La Playa Cantina, 690 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn.
The bust resulted in the seizure of four kilos of cocaine, with a street value of $120,000, authorities said. Three kilos were discovered inside the building and an additional kilo was delivered to an undercover officer.
